A Recap of the 25th Annual “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Begorrah (by God) it was cold but so sunny. As one parader yelled from a top her float, “At least it’s not snowing!” The Parade was blast. The 2018 “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal JIM SUMBRUM was with us in spirit (unfortunately he was laid up for the festivities) as float after float traveled down the historic streets of the Valley and Old First Ward neighborhoods.

As Scott Ogden of South Buffalo told the Buffalo News, “The Irish don’t quit!”

The “Old Neighborhood” parade has long been considered the more authentic of the two big Buffalo St. Patrick’s Day parades and the VCA is proud to host it.

Here is a slideshow for your viewing pleasure. These were taken from the VCA’s staff website manager, Lesa Quale Ferguson

And here are more still pictures.
